WHAT IS ACTIVATE LAEEA

Activate LAEEA is a youth-led, multi-year initiative designed to ensure Los Angeles’ upcoming mega-events translate into lasting economic mobility for young people—especially those who have been historically excluded.

Without intentional coordination, these moments risk becoming short-term activations. Activate LAEEA turns them into a connected runway for jobs, paid training, entrepreneurship, contracting, and wealth-building pathways.

The February 13, 2026 convening marks the public launch of this strategy.

Share youth-led research and insights on talent priorities, barriers, and opportunities tied to the mega-events economy.
Introduce a Youth-Led Mega-Events Economic Empowerment Roadmap that highlights priority job pathways, paid work-based learning, entrepreneurship, and contracting opportunities.
Invite employers to make early, cross-event commitments—on hiring, training, and inclusive procurement—that can scale from 2026 through 2028.
Launch a coordinated effort to align employer hiring, training, and investment strategies across upcoming global events, so this becomes a long-term legacy, not a short-term spike.
