BE SAFE AND STAY CONNECTED
Use the HouseParty or Zoom apps to host a dinner party. Have the same meal or order pizza
from the same place. Cards Against Humanity over video is so fun! Try it, you won’t be
disappointed. Or go old school, try a drive-in movie.
REACH OUT FOR HELP
Lots of therapists are providing online services because of C-19. So if your sadness or anxiety is
uncontrollable, get professional support. Many insurance companies are not charging their clients
copays, and some therapists are offering low-fee sessions.
GIVE A HELPING HAND
The elderly and those with health issues are hit hard by C-19. They can’t leave their homes even
with masks due to weak immune systems. Offer to pick up groceries, get mail, or run an errand.
Science shows if you do, you’ll be happier and suffer less stress.
GIVE A TOUR
Many theme parks (e.g., Universal Orlando) museums and zoos have virtual tours, they’re pretty
cool. It’s different than being there in person, but it’s still fun. Especially if you do it with a friend.
Having fun is key. It keeps the social distancing blues away.
If you’re like me, sitting down in silence is impossible. Try a guided meditation, it has the same
benefits of traditional meditation, but you have a guide. Meditation lowers anxiety and depression, makes you happy and helps you make better decisions.
