Ric Schneider joined Abbott as Chief Procurement Officer in July 2014. He is responsible for the oversight of enterprise expenditures, supplier development, supply base performance, company-wide externalization strategies, and productivity/cash conversion management improvement initiatives. As part of supplier development, Ric oversees Abbott’s supplier diversity processes, which are focused on ensuring an inclusive environment promoting the engagement of diverse, disadvantaged and small businesses. Driven through a relationship lens, by differentiating delivery of value, enabled by alignment and consistency in approach across all business. Ric’s global supply chain experience, leads his team in the creation of flexible and optimized supply community focused on performance.
Prior to joining Abbott, Ric led the Global Procurement Supply Chain Organization at Starbucks. Ric’s background outside of Supply Chain, includes Business Development, Manufacturing, and Engineering. He started his career with Miller/Coors and has also held multiple leadership roles at Phillip Morris and Kraft Foods including a variety of global assignments. Ric serves as the Executive Director of DMSCA’s Advisory Board and is a Board Member for LeadersUp. Ric has degrees in Structural Engineering and Architecture from Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg Business School.
